The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) closed at 46,483, down about 1,310 points or –0.33% from the previous session. The index opened at 46,652 and briefly touched a high of 46,783.
Yesterday’s decline came as investors grew concerned over “high valuation” remarks from the Fed Chair, coupled with pressure on technology and large-cap stocks, and rising Treasury yields. In addition, profit-taking after the recent rally contributed to the index’s pullback.
Currently, Dow Jones Futures are trading around 46,525 – 46,530, after briefly hitting an intraday low at 46,459.
